What to Expect on the Day of Your Appointment

At Plumber In A Box, we’re committed to providing a seamless, transparent, and professional service experience from the moment your appointment is confirmed.

Once confirmed, you’ll receive a real-time tracking link via text when your technician is enroute so you always know exactly when to expect us. Every technician arrives in a fully stocked, branded service vehicle equipped to handle the vast majority of plumbing concerns on-site.

Upon arrival, your technician will introduce themselves, review the reported issue, and begin a visual inspection to determine the best course of action. If the issue is straightforward, you’ll receive a same-day estimate and with your approval we’ll proceed with the repair immediately when possible. For more complex concerns, we’ll clearly explain the findings and provide an updated estimate before any further work is performed.

If you choose not to proceed with the recommended work, only the standard service charge will apply. This covers the time, travel, and diagnostic efforts of the technician with no further obligation.

Understanding the $65 Service Charge

All service appointments include a flat, non-refundable $65 service charge, which covers:

  • Professional travel and dispatch of a licensed technician
  • On-site visual inspection and expert problem assessment
  • Transparent repair recommendations and upfront pricing

This service charge is not credited toward future work and is due at the time of the visit regardless of whether additional repairs are approved. It applies to all customers unless covered under an active membership plan or formal business agreement. We accept payment via credit/debit card, cash, or business check.

Understanding the After-Hours Surcharges

(IF APPLICABLE)

To ensure continued availability and prompt response during non-standard hours, Plumber In A Box applies after-hours surcharges to service calls scheduled outside of our standard operating window (7 AM to 7 PM).

  • Evening Appointments (7 PM – 12 AM):
    A surcharge of $150 is applied in addition to the standard $65 service charge, totaling $215.
  • Overnight Appointments (12 AM – 7 AM) and Recognized Holidays:
    A surcharge of $250 is applied in addition to the standard $65 service charge, totaling $315.

These surcharges reflect the increased labor costs and logistical efforts required to provide reliable service during extended hours. Please note that all service charges and surcharges are non-refundable and due at the time of service unless otherwise specified in a formal agreement or active membership plan.

Warranty Coverage and Special Notes

We proudly stand behind our work. Our standard residential plumbing repairs include a 6-month limited warranty, while repairs performed at short-term rental properties include a 3-month limited warranty.

  • Warranty coverage does not apply to customer-supplied parts or declined repair recommendations
  • Drain/sewer cleaning is warrantied only if verified clear by a post-cleaning camera inspection
  • Permitting and inspections are the responsibility of the property owner — Plumber In A Box does not coordinate city/county permits, fees, or related inspections
